I am Buck Reed, paramedic, academic, PhD candidate, and researcher. Throughout my career, different elements of my paramedic practice have developed different interests. My time in rural practice has brought a passion for rural health and community paramedicine. My work as an academic has brought an interest in simulation, innovative education, precepting and preparing new entrants to the profession. My work with our professional body and my PhD has created a focus on professionalism and professional practice.
All of these things, and more make up my research, musings and academic work. This site is about sharing ideas and knowledge to help build the body of knowledge which underpins our profession and creates important discussions to help paramedicine evolve.
